Congratulations to Geoff Brooks who was acclaimed by the awards panel for his outstanding contributions over many years to SLRFC.

Over 200 people attended the event including Team GB Hockey player, Alastair Wilson, who competed in London 2012, who presented the Sports awards.

The Mayor of Oadby and Wigston Lynda Eaton presented the Community Awards, along with Richard Morris (Chair of the Youth Council) and Leader of the Council John Boyce.

This is a well deserved gong for Geoff who works tirelessly for the Mini/Junior Section.

Geoff now goes on to be shortlisted for the County Awards held next year and we wish him all the best for the next Awards Night

It's a very timely award for Geoff who also has a milestone birthday this week, so if you see him in the bar area he deserves a pint or two!

A big well done also to the U16's (pictured) who were also shortlisted as team of the year, but missed out on the top award.
